Coconut - 1 piece
Ghee - 4 teaspoons
Cinnamon - 1 stick
Cloves - 5 pieces
Cardamom - 5 pieces
Biryani leaves - 2 pieces
Stone flower (Kalpasi) - 2 teaspoons
Cashew nuts - 15 pieces
Large onion - 2 pieces
Ginger-garlic paste - 2 teaspoons
Green chillies, 2 pieces
Seeraga samba rice (Jeera rice) - 500 grams
Mint - 1 handful
Salt - As needed
Procedure for Making Coconut Milk Rice

- First, you need to grind the coconut in a mixer to extract the coconut milk.
- Wash the Jeera rice well and soak it in water for 15 minutes.
- Take a pressure cooker and heat it on the stove. Add ghee and let it warm up.
- Once the ghee is hot, add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, kalpasi, and biryani leaves to fry.
- Then, add the cashewnuts and fry until they turn golden. After that, add the large onion and sauté.
- When the onion is cooked well, Slit and add the green chilli, and then mix in the ginger-garlic paste.
- Cook until the raw smell of the ginger-garlic paste goes away.
- Then, add mint and sauté it nicely. Once it is cooked, pour in 5 cups of coconut milk (1 cup of coconut milk for every cup of rice).
- When the coconut milk comes to the boiling stage, add the soaked rice to the coconut milk and mix in the right amount of salt.
- When the rice and coconut milk start to boil and come together, cover the cooker with a lid and reduce the heat. After 10 minutes, turn off the stove.
- That's it! Our tasty Coconut Milk Rice is ready now. After about 10 minutes, open the cooker, add 2 teaspoons of ghee, stir it well, and serve the hot, fragrant, and tasty coconut milk rice.
Some Notes for Making Coconut Milk Rice
