How to Create Amazon KDP Account
- To create an Amazon KDP account, we first need an email ID. This means we have to register on the Amazon KDP website using our email and then sign in.
- Next, we need to provide account information, bank information, and tax information in our account.
- To start, search for "Amazon KDP" on Google, and the Amazon KDP website will appear.
- Go there and sign up using your email ID. If you already have an Amazon account, you can sign in with that email ID.
- There's no need to create a new account if you already have one.
- Once you sign up, the create account option will appear.
- You need to provide details like your name, email ID, password, and re-enter the password.
- After that, a small puzzle question will show up. Once you solve it, then you will get the option to verify your email address.
- Means you will receive an OTP number sent to the email address you provided. You need to enter that number to verify your email.
- After that, an option will appear to add your mobile number. If you provide your mobile number, you will receive an OTP.
- You need to enter that OTP number to add your mobile number. Then, an agreement option will appear, similar to rules and regulations.
- You need to agree to enter. Now the account will be created, but the account information will still be at an incomplete level.
- We need to provide a name, address, bank details, and tax information to complete the process.

- If you click on "Update now," a 2-step verification option will appear.
- This means you will receive an OTP number on your mobile. Once you enter that, the My Account page will open.
- There, you will see three options: My Profile, Getting Paid, and Tax Information. You need to fill out each one of these.

- By updating your tax information, you can reduce the tax withholding rate from 30% to 15%.
- In the tax classification, you should select "individual."

- Next, for the question, "Are you acting as an intermediary agent?" Click "No."
- Next, you need to provide your name, country of citizenship, permanent address, and Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN).

- Next, the country name will be in the tax treaty benefits option below. You need to confirm it and then click Save and Preview.
- Now, our tax information will be previewed in the W-8BEN form, showing all the details we provided.
- We need to check it and then add our signature. This means we should enter our full name in the signature option and click the submit form button.
- Now our tax form will be submitted. That's it; from now on, we can focus on writing the eBook and publishing it.
